We are seeking a vicar who will lead our two churches which are active and involved as an open evangelical Christian presence in the communities we serve. With the Bible as our basis and led by the Spirit, we listen to, and try to live out, the teachings of Jesus. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader, with a good sense of humour, energy and focus and who has the proven ability to lead a demanding yet rewarding Parish.
This is an exciting role leading a missionally active civic church in the beautiful market town of Ashbourne alongside supporting the mission and ministry in surrounding smaller villages. Gerard w hughes biography of abraham: Gerald Ernest Heal Abraham, CBE, FBA
After general chitchat over the champagne, all were invited to sit round in the comfortable easy chairs and hear Gerry reminisce quietly on his busy life and friends; and then hear others pay simple tribute to him for having clearly been a powerful spiritual and human resource to them, and often a consolation in their need. Then, as if it was the most natural thing in the world, Gerry invited everyone, seated as they were, to spend the next thirty minutes in silent prayer, after which he cut and distributed the cake and everyone sang "Happy Birthday to You"!
All then went their various ways, strengthened again by the grace of friendship, and praying that God has further delightful surprises in mind for Gerry W. Breadcrumb Home News landing page.
